(Vitamix 1363 CIA Professional Series)

Frosty Basil Lemonade

1/4 cup (60 ml) water
1 cup (170 g) diced honeydew
1 medium orange, peeled, halved
1/2 medium peach, halved, pitted
1/2 cup (75 g) pineapple chunks
1 cup (240 ml) ice cubes

Program: Smoothies – yield: 3 3/4 cups (900 ml)

1. Place all ingredients into the Vita-Mix container in the order listed and secure lid.
2. Select Smoothies program. 1
3. Press Start.
4. Allow machine to complete programmed cycle.

Herbed Vinaigrette

1/4 cup (60 ml) tarragon
white wine vinegar
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
1 tablespoon finely chopped
green onion
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
3/4 cup (180 ml) olive oil
Salt and pepper

Processing: 30 seconds – yield: 1 1/4 cups (300 ml)

1. Place all ingredients, except olive oil, into the Vita-Mix container in the order listed and secure lid.
2. Select Variable 1.
3. Press Start.
4. Quickly increase speed to Variable 3. Blend for 20 seconds.
5. Remove lid plug. Increase speed to Variable 5 and slowly add oil in a thin stream until fully incorporated.

Frosted Cosmopolitan

1/4 cup (60 ml) cranberry juice
2 ounces (60 ml) vodka
1 ounce (30 ml) triple sec
2 tablespoons (30 ml) sweetened
lime juice
1 cup (240 ml) ice cubes

Program: Smoothies – yield: 1 1/4 cups (300 ml)

1. Place all ingredients into the Vita-Mix container in the order listed and secure lid.
2. Select Smoothies program. 1
3. Press Start.
4. Allow machine to complete programmed cycle.

Just Dew It Smoothie

1/4 cup (60 ml) water

1. Place all ingredients into the Vita-Mix container in the order listed and secure lid.
2. Select Frozen Desserts program. 3
3. Press Start.
4. Allow machine to complete programmed cycle.

Citrus Smoothie
(for Vitamix5200; for another Vitamix machine you may need to make adjustments to the Variable Speed and/or processing time)

1 (150 g) orange, peeled and quartered
1/4 (21 g) lemon, peeled, quartered, seeded
1/2 cup (75 g) fresh pineapple chunks
1/4 cup (60 g) frozen mango chunks
1 cup (240 ml) ice cubes

1.Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure lid.
2.Select Variable 1.
3.Turn machine on and slowly increase speed to Variable 10, then to High.
4.Blend for 1 minute or until desired consistency is reached.

Key Lime Kiwi Smoothie
(for Vitamix5200; for another Vitamix machine you may need to make adjustments to the Variable Speed and/or processing time)

1/4 cup (60 ml) water
1 tablespoon key lime juice
2 medium kiwi, peeled, halved
1 large ripe pear, halved, seeded
2 tablespoons (30 ml) honey (optional)
1 cup (240 ml) ice cubes

1.Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure lid.
2.Select Variable 1.
3.Turn machine on and slowly increase speed to Variable 10, then to High.
4.Blend for 30 seconds or until desired consistency is reached.

Tropical Cooler
(for Vitamix5200; for another Vitamix machine you may need to make adjustments to the Variable Speed and/or processing time)

1/2 cup (105 g) lite tofu
1 (118 g) medium banana, peeled
1 cup (150 g) diced fresh pineapple
1 (140 g) orange, peeled, halved
1 cup (240 ml) ice cubes

1.Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure lid.
2.Select Variable 1.
3.Turn machine on and slowly increase speed to Variable 10, then to High.
4.Blend for 45 seconds or until desired consistency is reached.

Mango Delight Smoothie
(for Vitamix5200; for another Vitamix machine you may need to make adjustments to the Variable Speed and/or processing time)

1 orange, peeled, halved
1/2 ripe banana, peeled
1/2 mango, peeled, pitted
1/2 medium apple, seeded
1 cup (240 ml) ice cubes

1.Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure lid.
2.Select Variable 1.
3.Turn machine on and slowly increase speed to Variable 10, then to High.
4.Blend for 45 seconds or until desired consistency is reached.

Pineapple Spread

(for Vitamix5200; for another Vitamix machine you may need to make adjustments to the Variable Speed and/or processing time)

1 cup (165 g) sliced fresh pears, seeded
1/2 cup (75 g) fresh pineapple chunks
2 tablespoons (30 g) fresh hot or mild green chilies
1/4-1/2 cup (50-75 g) sugar or other sweetener, to taste
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice

1.Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure lid.
2.Select Variable 1.
3.Turn machine on and slowly increase speed to Variable 10, then to High.
4.Blend for 3 minutes.
5.Store spread in refrigerator.
6.Serve on your favorite breads, crackers, bagels, ice cream, or use it with or over chicken or pork chops.
